Nepalis in New York discuss promotion of Nepali literature

Nepalis living in New York organised an interaction to discuss the role of Nepali women Diaspora for the promotion of Nepali literature, art and culture, on Saturday.
The participants of the programme stressed on the need of combined efforts of both men and women in promoting Nepali language, literature and culture in the world.
People from various walks of life participated in the programme titled “Role of Nepali Women Diaspora and Promotion of Nepali Language and Literature” organised at Satya Narayan Temple in Woodside Avenue in Queens of New York by Nepali Women Diaspora.
Coordinator of the orgnisation Ms Kamala Prasai said that the objective of the programme was to promote Nepali language, literature, arts and culture.
The Diaspora honoured Professor Mohan Sitoula for his contributions to Nepali literature and language.
The programme chaired by Professor Laxmi Keshari Manandhar was participated by Bhuvan Sitoula, Diran Prasai, Janardan Thapaliya, Poet Ram Chandra Thapa, Kiran Thapa Rana, Dr. Bina Kansakar, Ganga GC, Mitthu Thapa and Bishal Shah, among others.
Madhuban Paudel, the Deputy Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations was the Chief Guest.
